‘An Apple A Day’ Drawing Workshop
5th October, 2024
In this workshop we will be exploring ‘chiaroscuro’, or the study of light and shade and the ways that this can make objects appear three dimensional on paper.
The ‘objects’ will be apples – we have lots of those at Hill Close Gardens! Rather than creating a finished composition, you will work on a study sheet that explores how you can achieve ‘roundness’ and surface qualities in both black and white and colour. Your observations are potentially transferable to other subjects and compositions and we will be looking at a range of artists for light inspiration.
10:00am – 12:00pm
